Council has received an Application for Development Approval – Brewery/Distillery (Use Not Listed) at the above address. A Summary of the proposal is provided below:

  • The Application proposes to establish a Distillery (Whiskey) within the existing vacant commercial structure (Unit 2) located in the northern portion of the site.
  • The Applicant has advised that the initial operation would be for production only with direct sales to bottle shops etc. Counter sales and tastings may be introduced in future years.
  • The proposed development will operate Monday to Saturday 10am – 5pm.
  • The proposed development is serviced by reticulated water and sewer mains.
  • The proposed development will utilize the existing car parking and access facilities on site.

A copy of the proposed Development Application is available for viewing at the Shire’s Australind Office (7 Mulgara Street, Australind) and Harvey Office (102 Uduc Road, Harvey)

Any comments on the proposed Development Application – Brewery/Distillery (Use Not Listed) must be made in writing and is to include the Development Application name, the property affected and details of the submission and submitted to the undersigned by no later than 4.00pm, Monday, 6th December 2021.
