Notice of Public Advertisement of Planning Proposal
Council has received an Application for Development Approval and Extractive Industry License at the above address. A Summary of the proposal is provided below:
The Application proposes to extract sand from Lot 25 Tredrea Place, Myalup (the site) approximately 28ha in size.
An estimated total quantity of 750,000m3 is proposed to be extracted over 12 stages, with each stage covering approximately 2ha (The site is currently being operated, with previous approvals being issued for Stages 1-4).
Access and egress to the site will be obtained via Tredrea Place, it is estimated that an average of 8 truck movements per day will occur, however this will be dependent on demand.
The proposed pit will operate Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.30pm.
There will be no crushing and screening or drilling and blasting on site.
Machine reverse alarms will be changed to lower frequency output units and late model equipment will be utilized with reduced noise level output.
A Dust Management Plan is included as part of the Application to minimize the potential for any adverse impacts.
A copy of the proposed Development Application is available for viewing at the Shire’s Australind Office (7 Mulgara Street, Australind) and Harvey Office (102 Uduc Road, Harvey).
Any comments on the proposed Development Application – Extractive Industry (Limestone & Sand) must be made in writing and is to include the Development Application name, the property affected and details of the submission and submitted to the undersigned by no later than 4.00pm, Friday, 1st April 2022.
