Notice of Proposed Local Planning Policy
Shire of Harvey District Planning Scheme No. 1
Council has resolved to adopt the following Local Planning Policies pursuant to Part 2, Division 2, Clause 4 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015, and is required to advertise the draft policies for a period of 21 days, following which Council will resolve whether or not to proceed with the policies as presented:
Proposed overview of Local Planning Policy objectives:
4.1.19 The Heritage List
to establish the criteria for assessment and process of inclusion on the Shire’s Heritage List.
4.1.20 Heritage Incentives Scheme
to encourage the appropriate conservation and restoration of places and recognise the distinct contribution they make to the character of Harvey and surrounds
to provide financial concessions for development application processes that apply to Heritage Listed Places
to provide development incentives for retaining heritage protected homesteads on farming land
to strengthen the relationships between the community and its heritage.
Copies of the draft policies are available by clicking on the ‘Documents’ tab to the right of screen.
Any comments on the proposed policies should be made in writing and submitted to the undersigned by no later than 4.00pm on Thursday, 11 May 2023 by email to shire@harey.wa.gov.au or as a hard copy by post.
