The Shire of Harvey has launched its Advocacy Priorities 2024-2025 brochure as it hits the State Election campaign trail seeking investment for critical community infrastructure.

The projects featured are required to meet the demands of its rapidly growing population, boost recreational tourism and provide much-needed facilities for community groups, families and sporting clubs.

Shire of Harvey President Michelle Campbell emphasised that the projects are supported by the community and have been prioritised according to critical need.

“These projects have undergone public consultation, design workshops, extensive stakeholder engagement and align with State and Federal Government strategic priorities and funding opportunities,” the Shire President said.

“Our hope is that our advocacy efforts will be successful in securing us the funding we need to create a Region that can support our population growth well into the future.”

The Advocacy Priorities 2024-2025 brochure features big ticket and bite-sized projects with the BIG five including:

  • Harvey Multi-Use Learning and Community Hub
  • Harvey Accessible Playground
  • Leschenault Leisure Centre Courts Expansion
  • Leschenault Recreation Park – Ovals 7 and 8
  • Munda Biddi Harvey Spur Trail

Community members are encouraged to bring the projects they want brought to life to local State and Federal Members of Parliament.
