- 6-8 indoor courts to accommodate for basketball, netball, gymnastics and indoor cricket, soccer, tennis, badminton and volleyball, and other relevant sports
- Spectator seating, retractable grandstand and a mezzanine level for additional viewing and events
- Appropriate changing facilities, storage, a workshop for wheelchairs and sports equipment, game day administration and time keeping facilities
- Accommodation for training and education requirements.
Why is the project happening?
Since 2014, the Shire has been aware of the growing need to provide additional sport, recreation and aquatic facilities and to address ageing infrastructure at the LLC. Through extensive consultation processes the Shire conducted 4 studies to support future works and development. The LLC Court Expansion was included in the Shire's Strategic Community Plan and the Shire has been working with community and key stakeholders to achieve this objective.
Will the LLC redevelopment result in an increase in rates?
No. The LLC redevelopment will not result in an increase in rates.

Will the community be consulted on this project?
The Shire has conducted extensive engagement with key stakeholders and the wider community from as early as 2019. Consultation is guided by the LLC Working Group, comprised of user groups who provide technical input to the development of the design.
There will be other opportunities to provide input into the design of the redeveloped LLC court spaces between January and June 2022.

What is the timeline for the project?
Key stages have been identified as follows:
Project initiation: LRP Master Plan - completed September 2019.
Stage 1: Concept and Feasibility Study - completed April 2021.
Stage 2-4: Operating Feasibility Study, Management Plan and Business Case - October 2021 to March 2022.
Stage 5: Design Documentation - December 2021 to May 2022.
Stage 6: Ready for Tender - June 2022.
Stage 7: Construction - July 2022 - June 2024.
Stage 8: Completion and handover - July to September 2024.
Stage 9: Operational September 2024.
These key stages are contingent on additional funding support for the project.
