Calling all dog lovers, pet parents, and park enthusiasts!

The Shire of Harvey is planning an exciting new addition to Harvey: a fully enclosed dog exercise park!

This will be a safe and fun space for our furry friends to stretch their legs, make new pals, and enjoy some tail-wagging adventures. But we need your input to make it truly pawsome!

Join us on this platform to have your say on the proposed location featured in the below Meriden Park Concept Master Plan.

The proposed Enclosed Dog Exercise Area Implementation includes:

Stage 1 – 2024–2025:

• Dog Park: o Fenced Dog park and associated path access drinking fountain/dog bowl. Budget allocation = $60,000

• Car parking o Reconfigure / extend existing parking area. Remove old car parking and make good in readiness for playground construction. Budget allocation (LRCI) = $170,000

Your input will help create a park that works for both our two-legged and four-legged community members. Whether you’re a dog owner or simply a park enthusiast, we’d love to hear your voice. Let's make this project a barking success together!

I think this is a great idea, the next step should be the restoration of the bridge that connects it to Palmer street.

It is a part of local history that has only been blocked off for approximately 13 years.
